Here we are, in another Christmas season, with it's attendant giving and buying of gifts. I asked Holy Spirit for a new perception of Christmas. I received a flow of thoughts from the Voice that knows. It felt like a "bath of Love." Could there be any one time of year when the truth of Love is more real than any another? Any time when faith in truth is any more appreciated than another? The Holy Spirit will use whatever games we make to bring us to the Mind of Christ that is in us. Even if our life has been chaotic or maddening, we can be comfortable, peaceful and still, now. We can make ourselves ready, now, to receive this gift. We can welcome the birth of Christ in our mind as a long-sought healing and relief from pain and sickness. Our reality then opens to new perception. No one is held apart from this gift. All who are willing, can receive it. To practice this, close your eyes briefly, and ask the Holy Spirit to remove the smoke and mist of illusions you have made to obscure the gift from your sight. Be willing to look at all you made, and then look at what Christ knows can replace it. All your thinking and learning cannot replace what He gives you, and without cost, because of our Creator's Love. Could a mind so lovingly given to truth be without ability to provide for any need? |

Look nowhere else this season or any other time, but in your peaceful mind, and wait in comfort and silence for the gift to come to you. There is Guidance to help you in this. Make your wishes known. God's teachers grow stronger when you join with them. Value the release from all fear. It will open you to your true Self. If peace does not seem to come, then try again to release your preferences for your life plan. Sit in silence and know that you are loved and your truth is Love Itself. Go within. Be at rest. More yet… more yet… more yet. Ask, "What is there I have made that is not at one with Love? What thoughts am I using that refuse forgiveness? What would the Christ say to me about this?" Be very still, very still. This is your time to be born with Him as one in your mind. Listen… Hear Him tell you of the infinite joy that a mind comforted with unconditional Love can bring. All reason, all true thinking leads to happiness. All forgiveness leads to this one truth: You are God's Creation. He is still Love. Rev. Who do you think you are? This can be said in so many ways. For years it floated in my consciousness as an accusation. I tried all kinds of ways; training in five careers to make myself valuable and good enough. The lack of self confidence and feeling of inferiority seemed to show up, no matter how I tried to conceal it. Many releasing techniques and processes I learned have been very helpful and are worthy of a separate article. The inner turmoil created by a shame- based identity is a block to inner and outer peace. A Course in Miracles starts with our acceptance of who we truly are as foundational to Peace. After years of negative programming by self and attracting "proof" from others and from my experiences, I was ready for a personal discipline to quiet my mind and remind me who I am. Years ago I was impressed with a priest who shared a simple process which I adapted for my own use. Recently I was surprised and pleased to see it used in the book, Peace Pilgrim, with her prefacing the Old Testament quote with "Peace." To know that I am the indwelling Christ, a part of God as Spirit or Higher Self, I say the following before moving into meditation or any time I want to quiet my mind. |

Peace, be still and know that I am one in God. Peace, be still and know that I Am. Note that it is in stillness that we can know what the Inner Voice of Love would say to us. It is with the Vision of the Heart we can confidently go into the New Year and see a forgiven child, adult, family member, political leader… a forgiven world. It is in this space of stillness that our path before us will unfold in divine order. I AM is a powerful precursor to manifesting. Be mindful of your "I am's." I AM is also an acronym for remembering: Intention with Attention equals Manifestation. So in this time for resolutions that are usually broken, affirm your identity with Spirit and co-create an honest Intention, giving it daily Attention and see what Manifests, always releasing the outcome for the highest good of all. Have You Heard the Latest about God? |

Yes, it's true. I talked to her myself! I'd been home alone all day cleaning house. Very focused. Very productive. And I was so happy when the phone rang. "Oh, how wonderful! A friend is calling! Someone loves me and is thinking about me! And boy am I ready to relax and connect with him/her! I've been such a good girl all day and now I deserve a little fun!" I tore off my rubber gloves, grabbed the phone and threw myself out full-length on the couch. Therefore, I was even more dismayed than usual to discover it was one of those dreaded telemarketing calls. I was so disappointed! "Damn! How can I cut this short in a polite way?" Just then I remembered something I'd read about God showing up in our lives every day disguised as the people we encounter. As she began rattling off her sales pitch, I told myself, "If that's true, this is God. This is God. This is God." And a most amazing thing happened. There was a shift in my perception, and I really did feel as though God was at the other end of the phone line! The voice and the words I heard were still hers, but the feeling I had was that it was really God. |

I was blown away. I mean, I meditate. I pray. I journal and dialogue. And sometimes I feel like I am in communion with the All That Is. But to actually get a phone call? WOW! Imagine that! I was blissed out. Every time she asked if I wanted to buy her product I replied in a dreamy voice, "No thank you." Finally, she thanked me and hung up and I was left to savor the sense of having experienced the presence of God. I wanted to call everyone I know and say, "You'll never guess who called me today! God!! Really! It really happened!" I felt absolutely certain of it. And that certainty stayed with me all day. In retrospect, I notice that I got just what I wanted from that phone call -- a chance to connect with a Friend who loves me. It just came in a disguise.
