Accepting the Thought of God

The Thought of God created you. It left you not, nor have you ever been apart from it an instant. It belongs to you. By it you live. It is your Source of life, holding you one with it, and everything is one with you because it left you not. The Thought of God protects you, cares for you, makes soft your resting place and smooth your way, lighting your mind with happiness and love. Eternity and everlasting life shine in your mind, because the Thought of God has left you not, and still abides with you. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.165.2)

Let us today remember to leave a clean and open space for God’s Thought to enter. It is a Thought of peace. The Light of Love returns with our invitation and willingness to receive. God’s peace returns as we are willing to hand over our fearful thoughts and let them be replaced with the truth of universal Love.

Our practice today is to let Love return to light our minds with happiness and peace… We give thanks that our willingness to accept the Thought of God is strong today…

Love Can Never Be Divided

Your brother is your friend because his Father created him like you. There is no difference. You have been given to your brother that love might be extended, not cut off from him. What you keep is lost to you. God gave you and your brother Himself, and to remember this is now the only purpose that you share.

You are alike to God as God is to Himself. [God] is not special, for He would not keep one part of what He is unto Himself, not given to His Son but kept for Him alone. And it is this you fear, for if He is not special, then He willed His Son to be like Him, and your brother is like you. Not special, but possessed of everything, including you. Give him but what he has, remembering God gave Himself to you and your brother in equal love, that both might share the universe with Him Who chose that love could never be divided, and kept separate from what it is and must forever be. (A Course in Miracles T-24.I.7:1-5;II.10:3-7)

Remembering God is remembering we share one Self, one united Identity. Today our practice is to be willing to reconnect with the one Identity we all share with God. As we let the Holy Spirit show us the truth in our brother, we feel the blessing of his Love which we recognize as our own. This practice brings us the experience of peace, joy and Love, Which is eternal. We are safe in this Love, whether we remember it or not. And we give thanks.

Giving and Receiving Salvation

You who belong in God have the holy function of extending His Fatherhood by placing no limits upon it. Let the Holy Spirit teach you how to do this, for you can know what it means only of God Himself.

When you meet anyone, remember it is a holy encounter. As you see him you will see yourself. As you treat him you will treat yourself. As you think of him you will think of yourself. Never forget this, for in him you will find yourself or lose yourself. Whenever two Sons of God meet, they are given another chance at salvation. Do not leave anyone without giving salvation to him and receiving it yourself. For I am always there with you, in remembrance of you. (A Course in Miracles T-8.3:5-4:8)

Today’s practice is to remember that everyone is in God and of God. Everyone is the extension of our Father. This is the truth about everyone and today we are given another opportunity to let the Holy Spirit bring this awareness to our minds all through the day.

Because everyone is in God, everyone is perfectly safe, no matter what “storms” may seem to surround us in the dream. We have the Holy Spirit to help us see the truth in every brother and thereby learn of the truth on ourselves. This is how confusion is undone. As we accept Holy Spirit’s vision, we remember the center of peace within that cannot be disturbed.

In Truth, We Are in God’s Light and of God’s Light

God is the light in which I see.

In order to see, you must recognize that light is within, not without. You do not see outside yourself, nor is the equipment for seeing outside you. An essential part of this equipment is the light that makes seeing possible. It is with you always, making vision possible in every circumstance. (A Course in Miracles W-pI.44.2)

Because we carry God’s Light with us wherever we go, we can open to seeing with this Light. This is our practice for today. We become open to the truth by wanting to see the truth. This is accepting our inheritance.

In truth we are always in God’s Light and we only see truly as we see with God’s Light. As we practice this, our thoughts are purified. Fear disappears as the Light of Love returns to our awareness. This Light within us shows us the truth in our brothers, which is the truth of our one Self. We joyfully practice this today.

Opening Our Hearts to God Today

You are as God created you. Today honor your Self.…

Seek Him today, and find Him. He will be your Savior from all idols you have made. For when you find Him, you will understand how worthless are your idols, and how false the images which you believed were you. Today we make a great advance to truth by letting idols go, and opening our hands and hearts and minds to God today.” (A Course in Miracles W-pI.110.9:1-2;10)

Opening our hearts to God is the same as opening our hearts to receive God’s peace, joy and Love… This is the opposite of the roller coaster ride of the journey the ego takes us on. To the ego mind, opening our hearts to God is boring. It is not filled with constant change. It is not filled with seeing differences. It is not filled with the fear-ridden ride of the ego’s dream.

Today we choose to experience the simplicity of God’s peace and changeless Love… We choose God’s quietness… We let ourselves be carried as we rest in God’s peace… We want only Love and we find only Love…

Making Way for Indescribable Happiness

The ego has set it up to make the world seem believable and real. The body with its eyes and other senses is the principal mechanism to provide feedback of the seeming reality of the world of form. Yet the Course is telling us that the body is itself an illusion and can only show us illusions. The Course is leading us to let go of believing what the body’s senses show us and to redirect our attention to the vision offered us by the Holy Spirit — Christ’s vision. This is an inner vision that does not have anything to do with the body’s eyes.

Today we are determined to give our full attention to the vision of Christ. This means we are willing to set aside the meaning we habitually give to the images of the world. We hold our minds open to receive Holy Spirit’s meaning through His vision. As we accept His help, we open the way to indescribable happiness. We open the way to remember Heaven.

What Is Today’s Purpose?

Today’s purpose is to awaken to the truth. Holy Spirit’s purpose for today is to help us see past our dreams of separate identities to the truth of Love’s Oneness. He wants to return us to Heaven, our natural Home. In truth we are There now, but are not aware of it. We are not aware of it because we are too busy looking at dreams of separation and differences.

Today we will focus on remembering our real purpose, which is to receive Holy Spirit’s thought reversal all through the day. Our purpose is to let the Holy Spirit use every circumstance to return us to the awareness of Love’s Presence.

We still belong to our Father, our Source. We recognize this when we let Holy Spirit show us the Light of truth beyond the forms of the world. Holy Spirit’s thought reversal always brings us peace, as we are brought past time to the changeless present.
